The St. Louis Blues have made it known that they are willing to take calls on a number of their players given their poor start to the season.

The Blues currently sit 15th in the Western Conference with a 5-8-3 record and are three points ahead of the last place Calgary Flames, prompting speculation that GM Doug Armstrong is willing to make changes sooner rather than later.

As reported last week, forward Brayden Schenn is a prime target for Stanley Cup contenders and Armstrong is open to the possibility of moving him this season, but another veteran is also expected to generate interest.

Defenceman Justin Faulk saw his full no-trade clause shift to a 15-team no-trade list this season and some teams are expected to reach out to discuss his availability and potential price tag, if some haven’t already.

Faulk, 33, is in the sixth season of a seven-year, $45.5 million contract. While his salary cap hit is $6.5 million, he is being paid $4.5 million in actual salary this season and next.

With a willingness to make roster changes, the Blues may also be open to taking calls on some players with full no-trade clauses, such as forwards Jordan Kyrou and Pavel Buchnevich, though moving a player like Faulk or Schenn may be simpler given their no-trade statuses.

In 16 games with the Blues so far this season, Faulk has registered three goals and five assists for eight points.
