Veteran winger Andrew Mangiapane is expected to attract a lot of interest once he hits the free agent market next week, as several teams are believed to have interest in pursuing him.
As TFP’s David Pagnotta reported last week, Mangiapane will be hitting the open market as an unrestricted free agent July 1. Pagnotta later wrote that the Toronto Maple Leafs and Seattle Kraken are among the teams interested in going after Mangiapane.
During Wednesday’s coverage of leading up to the NHL Draft, Pagnotta added the Boston Bruins, Winnipeg Jets and Edmonton Oilers also have Mangiapane on their target list for July.

It is unclear as to the type of deal Mangiapane is looking for, though a mid-term contract worth in between $4 million and $5 million per season could be in the cards.
Mangiapane, who is listed on TFP’s Top 40 UFAs List, recently changed agents and is now represented by Allain Roy.
In 81 games with the Washington Capitals this past season, Mangiapane registered 14 goals and 14 assists for 28 points.
