The Toronto Maple Leafs are once again dangling some of their depth forwards and have spoken with some teams about the likes of Calle Jarnkrok, David Kampf and Nick Robertson, according to separate sources.
All three players were shopped during the off-season, but Leafs GM Brad Treliving has not yet found an offer he has deemed acceptable.
The Leafs are believed to be looking for draft pick compensation in exchange for any of their available forwards, which may extend beyond the three already mentioned above.
Jarnkrok and Kampf each own a 10-team no-trade list as part of their contracts, and Kampf has another year remaining on his deal after this season while Jarnkrok is playing on an expiring contract and is eligible to become an undrafted free agent next summer.
Robertson, 24, is also on an expiring contract, though he can become a restricted free agent next July.
With just over $1.14 million in salary space, moving any of these forwards would help create a roster spot and give the Maple Leafs extra cap flexibility moving forward this season.
