The Anaheim Ducks have received plenty of calls from teams inquiring about the availability and price tag of young defenceman Pavel Mintyukov after reports surfaced this week that he is unhappy with his usage.
Mintyukov, who turns 22 on Tuesday, saw his ice time drop this season and relayed to the Ducks that he is open to a change of scenery if the club does not plan on maximizing his talent.
On Saturday, Mintyukov drew 21 minutes and 15 seconds of ice time, the most TOI he has played all season.
The San Jose Sharks, Vancouver Canucks, Toronto Maple Leafs, Pittsburgh Penguins and Winnipeg Jets are among the teams exploring the defensive market and could have varying levels of interest in Mintyukov.
The Moscow native has collected three assists in 19 games with the Ducks so far this season. He was originally drafted 10th overall by Anaheim in the 2022 NHL Draft.
