HOWDEN INKS FIVE-YEAR EXTENSION

The Vegas Golden Knights have signed forward Brett Howden to a five-year, $12.5 million contract extension through the 2029-30 NHL season worth an Average Annual Value of $2.5 million.

Howden, 26, is in his fourth season with the Golden Knights and has registered eight goals and one assists in club’s 20 games this season, to date. He is tied for second on the club in goals with Ivan Barbashev.

The Calgary native captured the Stanley Cup with the Golden Knights in 2023, tallying five goals and five assists for 10 points in 22 playoff games that season.

Prior to being acquired by the Golden Knights in July of 2021, Howden played three seasons with the New York Rangers (2018-19, 2019-20, 2020-21). He was selected 27th overall by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the 2016 NHL Draft.
