Several teams are interested in hiring Rick Tocchet as their next Head Coach and a decision could be coming as soon as this week.
On April 29, the Canucks announced Tocchet “will not return” next season, prompting several teams to pursue him for their bench boss position.
The Philadelphia Flyers, Boston Bruins, Pittsburgh Penguins and Seattle Kraken are all reportedly interested in hiring Tocchet.
According to TSN’s Darren Dreger, a decision could come this week and the Flyers may be the most aggressive club pursuing him.

The Canucks are believed to have offered Tocchet a new contract worth more than $4 million per season, though Tocchet may be looking for a deal worth closer to $5 million annually.
Vancouver and the Chicago Blackhawks are the two other NHL clubs in need of a full-time head coach.
