FLAMES INK CORONATO TO 7-YEAR EXTENSION

Matt Coronato, forward
The Calgary Flames have signed forward Matt Coronato to a seven-year, $45.5 million contract extension. His deal comes with a $6.5 million AAV.
Coronato, 22, registered 24 goals and 23 assists for 47 points in 77 games with the Flames this season.
The native of Greenlawn, New York has played in 112 career NHL regular-season games, to date, and has accumulated 27 goals and 29 assists for 56 points.
Coronato was recently selected to represent Team USA at the 2025 IIHF World Championships but was forced to withdraw from participation as a preventive measure to recover from a knee injury.
He was originally drafted 13th overall by the Flames in the 2021 NHL Draft.
