BLAKE NOT RETURNING AS KINGS GM

The Los Angeles Kings announced Monday morning that they have parted ways with General Manager Rob Blake.

In a statement released by the club, the Kings will begin their search for a new GM effective immediately.

As TFP’s Dennis Bernstein and David Pagnotta reported on Saturday’s episode of “The Hot Stove” on SiriusXM NHL Network Radio, there were whispers that a change at the helm in Los Angeles may be coming and Blake may not return.

The Kings finished the regular-season with an impressive 48-25-9 record, but were eliminated from the playoffs in six games to the Edmonton Oilers for the fourth consecutive season.

Blake is in the final year of his contract.
