The Seattle Kraken have acquired forward Mason Marchment from the Dallas Stars in exchange for Dallas’ 2025 fourth-round draft pick (previously acquired by Seattle) and Seattle’s own 2026 third-round pick.
Marchment, 30, is entering the final year of his contract and comes with a $4.5 million salary cap hit. He registered 22 goals and 25 assists for 47 points in 62 games with the Stars this season.
He was ranked No.6 on the TFP Summer Trade Watch List.
“Mason adds an important skillset to our roster,” said Kraken GM Jason Botterill. “He’s a veteran player who brings a combination of size, skill and toughness. Mason knows what it takes to win, having been part of deep postseason runs with the Stars. We’re excited to have him join our group.”
Marchment has appeared in 302 career regular-season games with Dallas, Florida and Toronto, recording 76 goals and 113 assists for 189 points, 258 penalty minutes and a +64 rating.
