The Florida Panthers are doing their best to keep the band together.
On Monday, the Panthers agreed to new deals with star defenceman Aaron Ekblad and star winger Brad Marchand to new deals.
Now, Panthers GM Bill Zito is trying to round out his roster and remains hopeful that he can sign centre Tomas Nosek, who is now an unrestricted free agent.
Florida’s still cooking. The Panthers and Tomas Nosek’s camp are expected to reconvene in the morning, as both sides hope to get a deal done.

The Panthers and Nosek’s camp remained in constant communication on Monday and are planning to reconvene at some point Tuesday morning, according to TFP’s David Pagnotta.
Nosek, 32, tallied one goal and eight assists for nine points in 59 games with the Panthers this past season.
It is unclear as to the type of contract Nosek is looking for, but his next deal should hover around a $1 million AAV.
