KUNIN WEIGHING OPTIONS, CLOSER TO DEAL

Luke Kunin, forward
Unrestricted free agent forward Luke Kunin continues to evaluate his options and appears to be inching closer to a decision, according to TFP’s David Pagnotta.
Kunin, 27, split last season between the San Jose Sharks and Columbus Blue Jackets and registered 11 goals and seven assists for 18 points in 75 games. He also tallied 55 penalty minutes.
He is coming off a one-year, $2.75 million contract, which he signed in June 2024 following a two-year, $5.5 million deal.
Luke Kunin has generated interest from multiple clubs and it sounds like he’s closing in on a deal. Of note, Kunin changed agents recently and is now represented by Craig Oster.

Several teams expressed interest in Kunin ahead of the trade deadline, including the Toronto Maple Leafs, Carolina Huricanes and Winnipeg Jets, but the Sharks dealt him to the Blue Jackets.
Kunin also recently changed agents, and is now represented by Craig Oster of Newport Sports.
