ISLANDERS SIGN TSYPLAKOV TO 2-YEAR DEAL

Maxim Tsyplakov, forward

The New York Islanders have signed restricted free agent forward Maxim Tsyplakov to a two-year, $4.5 million contract, avoiding arbitration.

Tsyplakov, 26, registered 10 goals and 25 assists for 35 points in 77 games with the Islanders this past season, his first in the NHL.

The Moscow native first signed with the Islanders as a free agent on May 16, 2024.

Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman first reported a deal was done between Tsyplakov and the Islanders.
