SEGUIN INKS 8-YEAR EXTENSION WITH STARS

The Dallas Stars have signed centre Tyler Seguin to an eight-year contract worth $9.85 million per season, TFP has confirmed.
Seguin, 26, is in the final year of his current contract, which comes with a $5.75 million cap hit.
The new deal includes a full no-movement clause, which kicks in immediately.

Seguin will earn $13.5 million in the first year of his deal, followed by $9 million, $13 million, $13 million, $8.45 million, $8 million, $7.1 million and $6.75 million.
In 82 games with the Stars last season, Seguin registered a career-high 40 goals and 38 assists for 78 points, the second-highest point total of his NHL career, to date.
