The Los Angeles Kings have traded left wing Tanner Pearson to the Pittsburgh Penguins in exchange for left wing Carl Hagelin, TFP Sr. Writer Dennis Bernstein first reported.

Pearson, 26, was less than impressive for the Kings this season, picking up just one assist in 17 games.

He has two-years left on his contract, after this season, and comes with a $3.75 million salary cap hit.

Hagelin, 30, also struggled to start the season, picking up one goal and two assists in 16 games with the Penguins.

The native of Sodertalje, Sweden, is in the final-year of his contract and has a $4 million salary cap hit.
