The Los Angeles Kings have agreed to terms with Jim Hiller to become the club’s full time head coach, removing the interim tag he currently possessed.

As TFP’s David Pagnotta reported last week and again on Tuesday, the Kings were finalizing their agreement with Hiller on what is believed to be a three-year contract.

Hiller joined the Kings as an assistant coach on July 19, 2022 and took over as Interim Head Coach on Feb. 2, replacing Todd McLellan as bench boss. He helped guide the Kings’ season back on track and into the post-season, where the club fell to the Edmonton Oilers in five games in the first-round of the 2024 Stanley Cup Playoffs.
