Artemi Panarin, left wing

Having already met with the Florida Panthers and New York Rangers, star left wing Artemi Panarin is believed to be weighing his options amongst two additional teams.

The Panthers, Rangers, New York Islanders and an unknown fourth club are believed to be in the running for Panarin’s services – while the fourth team is not yet known, it’s not expected to be the Colorado Avalanche, who expressed interest in Panarin earlier this week.

According to sources, Panarin is spending the rest of the month in New York City before making his final decision once offers are officially presented July 1.

The Islanders are expected to make a “major push” for the 27-year-old, according to one source close to the organization.

The Panthers and Rangers have already shown their cards to Panarin, his wife and his agent, and it’s believed the Islanders will get an opportunity to do the same in the coming days. It’s possible the fourth team gets facetime, as well.

In 79 games with the Columbus Blue Jackets this season, Panarin registered 28 goals and 59 assists for 87 points.

Panarin ranks No.1 on the TFP Top 25 UFA List.
