Nick Leddy, defenceman

The New York Islanders are believed to have made defencemen Nick Leddy and Thomas Hickey available for trade, according to TFP Editor-in-Chief David Pagnotta.

During “Off The Rush” on SiriusXM NHL Network Radio on Saturday, Pagnotta reported both Leddy and Hickey are up for grabs and the Islanders are shopping them.

Leddy, 28, has three-years left on his contract, which comes with a $5.5 million salary cap hit. The 30-year-old Hickey also has three-years remaining on his deal, and comes with a $2.5 million cap hit.

With Leddy and Hickey available, it’s believed either could be packaged as part of a deal to bring additional fire power up front to the Islanders.

Leddy currently sits at No.10 on the TFP Off-Season Trade Watch list.
