The Los Angeles Kings are believed to be one of at least 10 teams interested in pending unrestricted free agent defenceman Calvin de Haan.

de Haan, 27, made $3.3 million this past season with the New York Islanders, and it appears he might not be in the team’s plans moving forward.

On Tuesday early-afternoon, TFP Sr. Writer Dennis Bernstein reported the Kings were eyeing de Haan, while TFP Editor-in-Chief David Pagnotta reported on Sunday “upwards of 10 teams” have expressed interest.

It’s unclear what type of multi-year deal de Haan is looking for.

He played in just 33 games with the Islanders this past season, due to lingering injuries, and recorded one goal and 11 assists for 12 points.

The Kings currently have roughly $4.104 million in available salary cap space for next season.
