OILERS TRADE MCLEOD TO SABRES FOR SAVOIE

The Edmonton Oilers have traded forwards Ryan McLeod and Tyler Tullio to the Buffalo Sabres in exchange for forward Matt Savoie.

McLeod, 24, had 12 goals and 18 assists for 30 points in 81 games last season with the Oilers.

Drafted by the Oilers in the second-round, 40th overall, in 2018, McLeod has accumulated 32 goals and 43 assists for 75 points in 219 NHL regular-season games.

Tullio, 22, had nine goals and 12 assists for 21 points in 54 games last season for Edmonton’s AHL affiliate, the Bakersfield Condors. He was drafted by the Oilers in the fifth-round pick in 2020.

Savoie, 20, was Buffalo’s first round selection (ninth overall) in the 2022 NHL Draft.

The native of St. Albert, Alberta made his rookie debut for Buffalo in November and also appeared in six games last season for the Sabres' AHL affiliate in Rochester.
