ISLANDERS BRING BACK MARTIN FROM TORONTO

The New York Islanders have acquired winger Matt Martin from the New York Islanders in exchange for goaltender Eamon McAdam.

Martin, 29, returns to the Islanders after spending the last two seasons with the Leafs.

Last season, the native of Windsor, Ontario, registered three goals, nine assists for 50 penalty minutes in 50 games.

In 570 career NHL regular-season games with the Islanders and Maple Leafs, Martin has accumulated 50 goals and 59 assists for 109 points, along with 853 penalty minutes.

Martin was originally drafted by the Isles in the fifth-round, 148th overall, of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.

McAdam, 23, was drafted by the Islanders in the third-round, 70th overall, of the 2013 NHL Draft.

He spent most of last season with the Worcester Railers of the ECHL, posting a 13-10-2 record with a 2.84 goals-against-average and a .910 save percentage. He also played in nine games with the AHL's Bridgeport Sound Tigers.
