DUCKS TRADE DRYSDALE TO FLYERS FOR GAUTHIER

The Anaheim Ducks and Philadelphia Flyers completed a major trade on Monday, TFP’s David Pagnotta first reported.

The Ducks have traded defenceman Jamie Drysdale and a 2025 second-round draft pick to the Philadelphia Flyers in exchange for forward Cutter Gauthier.

Gauthier, who turns 20 on Jan. 19, requested a trade from the Flyers organization and the team met his request.

He was drafted fifth-overall by the Flyers in 2022 and has spent the last two season with Boston College.

Drysdale, 21, was drafted sixth-overall by the Ducks in the 2020 NHL Draft. He has collected one goal and four assists in 10 games with Anaheim this season.

The Toronto native has accumulated eight goals and 37 assists for 45 points in 123 games over four seasons with the Ducks (2020-24). He missed majority of the 2022-23 campaign due to a torn labrum in his left shoulder.
