Ryan Dzingel, forward

A number of teams have expressed serious interest in Ottawa Senators forward Ryan Dzingel, who recently moved up to No.6 on TFP’s Top 30 Trade Watch List.

Dzingel, 26, is set to become an unrestricted free agent July 1 and comes with a $1.8 million salary cap hit.

His offensive production so far this season has also played a factor in teams making inquiries about his availability – with at least one offer already presented, but the deal did not materialize, TFP has learned – as he’s picked up 20 goals and 18 assists for 38 points in 48 games, to date.

The Edmonton Oilers, Dallas Stars, Pittsburgh Penguins, Boston Bruins and Colorado Avalanche are among the teams believed to have interest in Dzingel.

As Senators GM Pierre Dorion tries to get forwards Matt Duchene and Mark Stone locked up to new contracts, he’ll continue to work the trade lines.

In addition to Dzingel, goaltender Craig Anderson and forwards Bobby Ryan, Magnus Paajarvi, Zack Smith and Mikkel Boedker are also on the trade block.

Anderson and Ryan each have a 10-team no-trade list as part of their contracts, which they’ve previously submitted.
