Brian Boyle, forward
The Nashville Predators have acquired centre Brian Boyle from the New Jersey Devils in exchange for a 2019 second-round draft pick.
Boyle, 34, is in the final-year of his contract, which comes with a $2.55 million salary cap hit, and is scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent July 1.
In 47 games with the Devils this season, Boyle registered 13 goals and six assists for 19 points and 22 penalty minutes.
Drafted 26th overall by the Los Angeles Kings in 2003, Boyle has played in 740 career NHL regular-season games with the Kings, New York Rangers, Tampa Bay Lightning, Toronto Maple Leafs and Devils, and has accumulated 119 goals and 92 assists for 211 points, along with 555 penalty minutes, to date.
Boyle was No.28 on TFP’s Top 30 Trade Watch List.
