Brandon Montour, defenceman

With the trade deadline one day away, a number of teams are believed to have interest in Anaheim Ducks defenceman Brandon Montour.

Montour, 24, is in the first-year of a two-year, $6.775 million contract.

Ducks GM Bob Murray has been taking calls on a number of his players, and Montour has generated much attention, with the Toronto Maple Leafs, Edmonton Oilers and New York Rangers among the teams to have expressed some level of interest in him.

Murray is not actively trying to trade Montour, but has listened to inquiries.

Teams have also called about defenceman Cam Fowler, however TFP Editor-in-Chief David Pagnotta reported on Saturday the Ducks have no plans to move him.

The Ducks are hoping to add more offense to their roster before next season and moving Montour for extra fire power up front could be an option.

In 62 games with the Ducks so far this season, Montour has registered five goals and 20 assists for 25 points, and 40 penalty minutes.
