CAPITALS ACQUIRE HAGELIN FROM KINGS

The Washington Capitals have acquired left wing Carl Hagelin from the Los Angeles Kings in exchange for a 2019 third-round draft pick and a 2020 conditional sixth-round draft pick.

The Kings also retain 50% of Hagelin’s remaining contract.

Hagelin, 30, is in the final-year of his contract and is scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent July 1.

TFP reported on Wednesday a trade between the two clubs was imminent.

Hagelin has skated in 38 games with the Kings and Penguins this season, registering two goals and six assists for eight points.

In 526 career NHL regular-season games with the New York Rangers, Anaheim Ducks, Pittsburgh Penguins and Kings, and has tallied 90 goals and 140 assists for 230 points.
