The Edmonton Oilers have traded winger Patrick Maroon to the New Jersey Devils in exchange for centre J.D. Dudek and a 2018 third-round draft pick.

Maroon, 29, registered 14 goals and 16 assists for 30 points in 57 games with the Oilers this season.

In 358 career NHL regular-season games with the Anaheim Ducks and Oilers, Maroon has accumulated 75 goals and 90 assists for 165 points, along with 438 penalty minutes.

The St. Louis native was originally drafted by the Philadelphia Flyers in the sixth-round (161st overall) of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.
