Ottawa Senators GM Pierre Dorion is extremely popular these days, almost as much as some of his players.

Dorion has been fielding a ton of phone calls for the likes of Mike Hoffman, Zack Smith, Jean-Gabriel Pageau, Erik Karlsson and Ryan Dzingle, but it appears Derick Brassard is attracting the most interest, right now.

Brassard, who has moved up to #8 on TFP’s Top 30 Available Players List, has one-year left on his contract after this season and comes with a $5 million salary cap hit. He owns an eight-team no-trade list, though most of the teams believed to be eyeing him are not on that list.

The Winnipeg Jets, Pittsburgh Penguins, Columbus Blue Jackets, St. Louis Blues, Vegas Golden Knights and San Jose Sharks are among the teams interested in Brassard.

Interest in Brassard reportedly picked up earlier this week and talks have heated up since. If he is not traded by Saturday, the Senators may opt to pull him from the lineup for their game against the Philadelphia Flyers.

In 58 games with the Senators so far this season, Brassard has registered 18 goals and 20 assists for 38 points.
