As the Ottawa Senators evaluate their course of action for later on in the season, a number of current roster players could be shipped out by the Feb. 25 trade deadline.

Forwards Ryan Dzingel, Tom Pyatt and Magnus Paajarvi are set to become unrestricted free agents in July 2019 and could be on the move later this season, while goaltender Craig Anderson, right wing Bobby Ryan and centre Zach Smith may also find themselves on the trade block.

Anderson and Smith each own a 10-team no-trade list as part of their respective contracts. The 37-year-old Anderson has one-year remaining on his contract after this season, while the 30-year-old Smith has two more seasons.

Ryan, 31, also owns a 10-team no-trade list, along with a no-movement clause, and has three more seasons left on his deal, which comes with a $7.25 million salary cap hit.

Dzingel, 26, is expected to generate solid interest as the next couple of months. In 25 games, to date, he has registered 11 goals and eight assists for 19 points.

The Illinois native has a salary cap hit of $1.8 million and could command a decent return if his production continues from a team seeking secondary scoring closer to the deadline.
