CANUCKS ACQUIRE LEIVO FROM MAPLE LEAFS

The Vancouver Canucks have acquired winger Josh Leivo from the Toronto Maple Leafs in exchange for right wing Michael Carcone.

Leivo, 25, tallied four goals and two assists for six points in 27 games with the Maple Leafs this season.

In 84 career NHL regular-season games, Leivo has accumulated 14 goals and 14 assists for 28 points, along with 27 penalty minutes.

He was originally drafted by the Leafs in the third-round, 86th overall, of the 2011 NHL Draft.

Carcone, 22, has appeared in 20 games with the Utica Comets (AHL) during the 2018-19 season, recording six goals and 11 assists for 17 points.

He was originally signed as a free agent by the Canucks on July 15, 2016.
