The Arizona Coyotes are believed to be actively shopping young forward Anthony Duclair, according to Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman.

In his latest “31 Thoughts” column on Sportsnet.ca, Friedman reported the Coyotes are “working to find (Duclair) a fresh start.”

Duclair has been the subject of trade speculation for well over a year, as he’s never truly clicked in the Coyotes organization since being acquired from the New York Rangers on March 1, 2015.

Duclair, 22, registered 20 goals and 24 assists for 44 points in 81 games during his first season with the Coyotes in 2015-16. Since then, his ice time and performance has dwindled, furthering speculation that his time in Glendale, Arizona, may be coming to an end.

It’s unclear what the Coyotes are looking for, or if they’re trying to package him in a larger deal.

Several teams would certainly have interest in Duclair, depending on the price tag.
