TheFourthPeriod.com

As TFP first reported last month, the World Hockey Association is making its way to the city of Vancouver.

Today, the WHA Founders announced that the "Founders Franchise" will play in Vancouver, British Columbia, for its inaugural season.

League and team officials will be in Vancouver next week to provide franchise details of the Vancouver Blazers.

It is the intention of the franchise owners and representatives from Orca Bay Sports and Entertainment to complete the groundwork regarding the lease arrangements for the Blazers at GM Place by August 15, 2004.

The original Vancouver Blazers played from 1973 – 1975 after relocating from Philadelphia.
