(Aug. 4/04) -- As TFP first reported last month, the World Hockey Association is making its way to the city of Vancouver.
Today, the WHA Founders announced that the "Founders Franchise" will play in Vancouver, British Columbia, for its inaugural season.

(Jul. 18/04) -- Yesterday, the World Hockey Association held its inaugural draft at the Niagara Fallsview Casino and Resort.
Eight teams drafted a total of 240 NHL and AHL free-agent players, with one team set to be announced as early as Monday.

Crosby goes No.1 in Entry Draft
(Jul. 18/04) -- The World Hockey Association held its Entry Level Draft today, with 8 franchises selecting a total of 240 players.
Rimouski Oceanic center Sidney Crosby, of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, was the first selection at the Niagara Fallsview Casino Resort in Niagara Falls, Ontario.
