Webb waits patiently

Steve Webb, an unrestricted free agent, remains unsigned as the Islanders prepare for training camp.
The six-year veteran has worked out with fellow Islanders during the past few weeks with the hope he’ll have a contract before they leave for camp Thursday.
“I don’t know what's going on,” Webb told New York Newsday. “Believe me, we’re not asking for a lot of money for what I do.”
Webb, who made $667,423 last season, became a free agent when the Isles did not make him a qualifying offer by June 30.
Webb’s agent, Paul Krepelka, said his client has drawn interest from other teams.
