Jets sign free agent Perreault

The Winnipeg Jets have signed unrestricted free agent center Mathieu Perreault to a three-year, $9 million contract.

Perreault, 26, played in 69 games last season with the Anaheim Ducks where he collected 18 goals and 25 assists for 43 points and 36 penalty minutes.

The native of Drummondville, PQ also played in 11 Stanley Cup playoff games with the Ducks in 2014.

Perreault has now appeared in 228 career NHL regular-season games with Anaheim and Washington and has accumulated 51 goals and 62 assists for 113 points and 106 penalty minutes.

Perreault was originally drafted by the Capitals in the sixth round, 177th overall, of the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.
