Pardy signs one-year contract

The Winnipeg Jets have re-signed defenseman Adam Pardy to a one-year, $700,000 contract.

Pardy, 30, collected six assists and 38 penalty minutes in 60 games with the Jets this past season.

The native of Bonavista, Newfoundland, has played in 260 career NHL regular-season games with the Calgary Flames, Dallas Stars, Buffalo Sabres and Jets, and has accumulated four goals and 35 assists for 39 points, along with 209 penalty minutes.

He was originally drafted by the Flames in the sixth-round, 173rd overall, of the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.
