Little inks five-year contract with Jets

The Winnipeg Jets have avoided salary arbitration with restricted free agent forward Bryan Little, agreeing to a five-year, $23.5 million contract.

Little, 25, played in 48 games with the Jets during the 2012-13 season, registering seven goals and 25 assists for 32 points.

The Edmonton native has played in 404 career NHL games between Atlanta and Winnipeg, and has accumulated 99 goals and 128 assists for 227 points, along with 125 penalty minutes.

Little was originally drafted by the Atlanta Thrashers in the first round, 12th overall, of the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.
