Jets re-sign Clitsome

The Winnipeg Jets have re-signed unrestricted free agent defenseman Grant Clitsome to a three-year, $6.2 million contract.

One of Clitsome's representatives, Scott Bartlett, unveiled the news on his Twitter account.

Clitsome, 28, registered four goals and 12 assists for 16 points in 44 games with the Jets this past season.

In 149 career NHL regular-season games with the Columbus Blue Jackets and Jets, Clitsome has accumulated 13 goals and 42 assists for 55 points, along with 72 penalty minutes.

Clitsome was originally drafted by the Blue Jackets in the ninth-round (271st overall) of the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.
