Pavelec on his way back to Canada
TheFourthPeriod.com

The Winnipeg Free Press reports that Jets goaltender Ondrej Pavelec is heading out of the Czech Republic to return to Canada.

Pavelec's overseas contract expired before the break for international play and will not be renewed.

"I had a contract to Nov. 4, and now that I saw that the NHL season could be saved, I think I'll probably go back to Canada," Pavelec originally told iSport.cz.

Pavelec, 25, put up disappointing numbers during his stay with the Czech Elite League team, registering a .896 save percentage and 3.50 goals-against average in 14 games with the club.

Most of the Jets' roster has been practicing regularly at the MTS Iceplex and Pavelec could join his teammates as the lockout drags on. Teammate and defenseman Toby Enstrom could also join the group as he is believed to have left his Austrian team in Salzburg and could be considering a return to Winnipeg.
