"He's feeling better today (Saturday), but we're going to play it day-by-day and see how he's doing," Jets coach Claude Noel told the Sun prior to the game. "It's part of the game and it's another injury for me. You have to deal with people being in or out. How long it's going to be, you don't know."
The club isn't sure when Kane suffered the concussion, but he did finish Thursday's 4-1 win over the Buffalo Sabres.
"I have no idea which game, when all this took place," Noel added. "I'm not so sure he completely knows or when he was feeling these effects."
In 46 games with the Jets this season, Kane has become the team’s leading goal-scorer with 18 goals and 13 assists for 31 points.
Meanwhile, depth forward Tim Stapleton missed Saturday's contest due to a lower body injury, as the Jets failed to win consecutive games for the first time in 2012, against the Panthers at MTS Centre.
