Capitals, Fehr agree to 1-year deal
TheFourthPeriod.com

The Washington Capitals have agreed to terms on a one-year, $600,000 contract with unrestricted free agent forward Eric Fehr.

The deal, however, won't be formally signed and announced until the NHL lifts the lockout, which is expected to occur later today.

Fehr, 27, spent last season with the Jets after being traded by the Capitals to Winnipeg on July 8, 2011.

In just 35 games with the Jets last season, due to nagging shoulder injuries, Fehr picked up two goals and one assist.

He was drafted 18th overall by the Capitals in 2003 and played 230 games with them before joining the Jets.

Fehr spent the lockout playing for HPK of Finland's SM-Liiga, where he picked up 13 goals and 12 assists for 25 points.
