Report: Ovechkin to play for Moscow
TheFourthPeriod.com

Washington Capitals captain Alex Ovechkin is reportedly on the verge of signing with Dynamo Moscow of the KHL in his native Russia.

Russian newspaper Sport-Express claims that Ovechkin will play with Dynamo Moscow, and that a contract will be signed relatively soon.

Ovechkin, 27, played for Dynamo from 2001 to 2005.

In the past week, he was believed to be weighing his options as he entertained offers to play for CSKA Moscow during the work stoppage.

In 78 games with the Capitals last season, he recorded 38 goals and 27 assists for 65 points.
