The Washington Capitals have acquired right wing Scott Walker from the Carolina Hurricanes for a 2010 seventh-round draft pick.
The Capitals have also acquired center Eric Belanger from the Minnesota Wild in exchange for a 2010 second-round draft pick.
The Capitals are still believed to be shopping for a physical defenseman.
