Canucks sign Boeser to entry-level deal

The Vancouver Canucks have signed forward Brock Boeser to an entry-level contract, and he will make his NHL debut tonight with the Canucks.

Boeser, 20, joins the Canucks from the University of North Dakota where he collected 16 goals and 18 assists for 34 points in 32 games this season.

He was named the NCHC Offensive Player of Month in October and earned NCHC Offensive Player of the Week twice this past season. Boeser ranked fourth in the NCHC scoring race before being sidelined with a wrist injury that caused him to miss six games in total.

The Burnsville, Minnesota native was originally selected in the first round, 23rd overall, in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.
