The Vancouver Canucks have signed unrestricted free agent forward Loui Eriksson to a six-year, $36 million contract.

Eriksson, who turns 31 on July 17, picked up 30 goals and 33 assists for 63 points in 82 games with the Boston Bruins last season.

The native of Goteborg, Sweden, has played in 725 career NHL regular-season games with the Dallas Stars and Bruins and has accumulated 212 goals and 292 assists for 504 points.

He was originally drafted by the Stars in the second-round, 33rd overall, of the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.
