Canucks sign right wing Vrbata

The Vancouver Canucks have signed unrestricted free agent right wing Radim Vrbata to a two-year, $10 million contract, TFP has confirmed.

Vrbata, 33, registered 20 goals and 31 assists for 51 points with the Phoenix Coyotes last season.

In 792 career NHL regular-season games with the Colorado Avalanche, Carolina Hurricanes, Chicago Blackhawks, Tampa Bay Lightning and Coyotes, Vrbata has accumulated 215 goals and 249 assists for 464 points.

Vrbata was originally drafted by the Avalanche in the seventh-round, 212th overall, of the 1999 NHL Entry Draft.
