Canucks hoping to sign Miller
TheFourthPeriod.com

The Vancouver Canucks are in talks unrestricted free agent goaltender Ryan Miller, who will hit the open market on Tuesday.

Miller, who has attracted the interest of several teams, TFP has learned, is expected to find a new home soon after the free agent doors open July 1 at noon ET.

The Canucks are believed to be interested in adding a top-tier netminder, having youngsters Eddie Lack and Jacob Markstrom.

Miller, who is coming off a five-year, $32.5 million contract, would prefer to sign on the West coast, and with the Los Angeles Kings and Anaheim Ducks set in goal and the San Jose Sharks interested in getting younger between the pipes, the Canucks may be Miller's only option.

According to TSN Hockey Insider Bob McKenzie, Miller is currently in Vancouver meeting with the Canucks' management brass.

The Canucks have roughly $17.75 million in available salary cap space.
