The Vancouver Canucks have acquired right wing Derek Dorsett from the New York Rangers in exchange for Vancouver's 85th selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.

Vancouver's third-round pick was acquired earlier today in a multi-player trade with Anaheim.

Dorsett, 27, recorded four goals and four assists for eight points and 128 penalty minutes in 51 games played with the Rangers this season.

In 331 career NHL games Dorsett has accumulated 31 goals and 42 assists for 73 points and 855 penalty minutes.

A native of Kindersley, Saskatchewan Dorsett was originally drafted by the Columbus Blue Jackets, 189th overall, in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.
