Schneider, Canucks agree to 3-year deal

The Vancouver Canucks and goalie Cory Schneider have agreed to terms on a three-year, $12 million contract.

Schneider, 26, was set to become a restricted free agent July 1.

Last season, Schneider posted a 20-8-1 record in 33 appearances with the Canucks, along with a 1.96 goals-against-average and a .937 save percentage.

Schneider was drafted by the Canucks in the first round (26th overall) of the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.
