Perry to move to Vancouver?
TheFourthPeriod.com

Canucks general manager Mike Gillis might be in the market for an elite scorer, and could be eyeing Anaheim Ducks sniper Corey Perry.

The Vancouver Province has reported that former Montreal Canadiens defenseman Patrice Brisebois claimed that the Canucks could be willing to ship backup goalie Cory Schneider, forward Mason Raymond and defenseman Keith Ballard to Anaheim for Perry.

Brisebois discussed the rumor on "Le Match" TV show and also mentioned that a third-round pick could be included in the potential deal.

The Canucks have been looking to unload Ballard's high-priced contract and would benefit from acquiring Perry, who is known for putting up 50 goals last season.

However, the Ducks already have a strong asset in net with Jonas Hiller under contract for the next two seasons and would have to sign pending restricted free agent Raymond.

They would also need to figure out what to do with Ballard, who is a sixth blueliner in Vancouver while earning $4.2 million a year.

In 48 games with the Ducks this season, Perry has collected 22 goals and 17 assists for 39 points.
