Canucks shopping for grit
TheFourthPeriod.com

Vancouver Canucks GM Mike Gillis has been working the phones, looking to add a gritty forward to his lineup as the trade deadline moves closer, the Ottawa Sun reports.

The team has been lacking size and grit on their forward lines since the beginning of the season, which also hindered their chances in last year's Cup final against the Boston Bruins.

Gillis is likely to inquire about Anaheim Ducks enforcer George Parros, who has collected three assists and 42 penalty minutes in 25 games this season.

Meanwhile, backup goalie Cory Schneider is not expected to be dealt before the Feb. 27 deadline, as one team commented on his asking price as "stupid high."
